Fiber Talk with Stephanie Webb

Except Grandmas, designed by Stephanie Webb of Lindy Stitches.

Lindy Stitches is the company and Stephanie Webb is the designer. Stephanie joins me this week to talk about how a hobby that started when she was eight has evolved into a business that is delivering some creative and fun designs. The 2019 Nashville Market was a successful debut for Stephanie with her A Mother’s Heart, Bunny Lace Trio, Except Grandmas, and Peacock Keeper introductions, along with her very popular Birds to the Bough design. I’m confident you’ll enjoy listening to Stephanie as much as I enjoyed talking to her.–Gary

Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 2-27-19

Julia Fletcher 1847 from The Scarlett House
Today’s show is definitely different and a bit of an experiment. Gary and Vonna are devoting the entire show to some of the new designs being offered at the Nashville Market, March 1 to 3. While you can certainly simply listen to the podcast and get plenty out of it, we’re accompanying this show with a slide show of some of the designs we like and want to talk about. To see those designs while we talk about them, go to the page for this show at wetalkfiber.com. If you click on the slide show on the podcast page, you’ll see a larger version. Arrows on the left and right of each photo allow you to move through the slideshow. We hope you enjoy our discussion and this different format. Please provide feedback about this format so we’ll have a sense of whether it works. Sunday’s guest: Mary Corbet.

Fiber Talk with Linda Stolz

The Caroling Berries collection by Erica Michaels.
Her name is Linda Stolz, her business is Erica Michaels Needleart Designs, she’s our guest this week, and you need to stitch a basket full of her Berries designs. Linda learned needlework and sewing the conventional way, from her mother and grandmother, and never stopped. It was a stint working at a local needlework store that put her on the path to needleart design. In the conversation, we talk about how she develops her designs, her Berries and Patriotic series, petite designs, stitching on silk gauze, and her Train a Dog, Save a Warrior fundraising efforts. We’re confident you’ll enjoy our conversation with one of the true talents in the needlearts hobby.–Gary and Christine
