Fiber Talk with Kirsten Doogue

Embroidery by Kirsten Doogue.
Needlework by Kirsten Doogue.
This week we have the privilege of exploring Kirsten Doogue’s wide-ranging needlework career. Kirsten’s needlework involves a wide variety of techniques. These days her focus is on 17th Century English techniques, including crewel embroidery and working on her Thistle Threads casket. She’s a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework and shares some of her experiences learning needlework at that hallowed institution. It was a lot of fun talking with this talented and enthusiastic needle artist and we’re confident you’ll enjoy the conversation. Be sure to visit Kirsten’s website to enjoy her art.–Beth and Gary
