Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 7-24-19

Canvaswork Square #5 design by Arlene Cohen.

It’s the day before Thursday and Arlene and Gary gather to play a game of You Have to Choose. In the game we choose our preferences for needlework technique, thread type, color we like, color we don’t like, and offer two tips we share with anyone, anytime. We also get to hear about two of Gary’s childhood traumatic experiences. It’s a revealing show. Sunday is Sampler Sunday II and it’s a video show.–Gary

Needlepoint class project for 2018 cruise.

Jean Farish, designer, teacher, stitcher, and stitching cruise director, joins us this week for a fascinating conversation about stitching in general; her early days in the hobby, including a TV show she once did; stitching cruises and what it’s like to participate; and we go back to the early days of her blog to re-visit some advice and tips she still uses today. Fiber Talk with Vonna Pfeiffer, The Twisted Stitcher

Snowy Skater, stitched and finished by Vonna Pfeiffer.

It’s always fun and educational to talk with Vonna Pfeiffer and we’re really glad to have her join us again. The framework for this week’s discussion is things Vonna has learned in her many years/hours of stitching. We didn’t talk about all of the items on her list but our conversation filled an hour with several tips and tricks that will help you with your stitching. We are confident you’ll enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed recording it.–Christine and Gary
