Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 4-24-19

Vonna’s Jesus project is moving along.

Before we head to the weekend, we need to do a little needlework chatting. This week Vonna and Gary talk about a free chart from the Kirks; a needlepoint retreat, the RSN online-class discount; stitching Jesus and when he’ll be finished, if ever; Amish pie, and several other topics related or unrelated to stitching. Enjoy the show! Sunday’s guest: Brenda M. Côté–Gary

Finishing by Vonna Pfeiffer on a quilt by Vonna Pfeiffer.

The day that begins with a W has arrived once again and that means it’s time for some midweek chatting. It’s Vonna and Gary this week and we talk about Gary’s apparent inability to count to ten, speculate about stitching the Queen Sampler, discuss stitching paths, help Vonna discover that she has thought processes, gush over Ellie Pfeiffer’s skills, analyze the Jesus project, and talk about quiet morning stitching time. We also gain insight into how Vonna stores and retrieves charts and other supplies from her backyard warehouse. Sunday’s guest: Cathy Habermann of Hands on Design.

Julia Fletcher 1847 from The Scarlett House
Today’s show is definitely different and a bit of an experiment. Gary and Vonna are devoting the entire show to some of the new designs being offered at the Nashville Market, March 1 to 3. While you can certainly simply listen to the podcast and get plenty out of it, we’re accompanying this show with a slide show of some of the designs we like and want to talk about. To see those designs while we talk about them, go to the page for this show at wetalkfiber.com. If you click on the slide show on the podcast page, you’ll see a larger version. Arrows on the left and right of each photo allow you to move through the slideshow. We hope you enjoy our discussion and this different format. Please provide feedback about this format so we’ll have a sense of whether it works. Sunday’s guest: Mary Corbet.
