Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 9-11-19

Arlene Cohen’s Inspiration from the 16th Century design

Arlene and Gary have gathered once again for some needlework conversation. This time we discuss the Montenegrin stitch, Arlene’s whitework efforts, holding needlework, floor and lap stands, and whether we can live without DMC. We hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we enjoyed recording it. Sunday’s guest: Gay Ann Rogers–Arlene and Gary

  1. I’m one of those who still do basketweave for full coverage. That’s what I do for mindless stitching – only I’m using cotton floss these days instead of wool. 🙂

  2. I admire you. Basketweave bores me to tears. Are you laying the floss strands?

  3. Gary, if you’re patient there may be a second-hand slate frame going after my second module 🙂 – I’ve been working with it more since our last talk and I can’t see myself using it long term, I’m afraid!
