Fiber Talk Quarantine Stitch Hour, 3-25-20

It’s Wednesday and Vonna and Gary are stitching away while quarantined. The show is sponsored by Shepherd’s Needle (shepherdsneedle.com) and Sassy Jacks Stitchery (sassyjacksstitchery.com). Thanks to everyone who joined us for the live show and we hope those who couldn’t will enjoy the recording. We’ll be back Friday for our Friday Night Live show and Saturday for another Quarantine Stitch Hour.

  1. Hi!

Your Quarantine Stitch Hour is so much fun – thank you so much for taking time to record them for us. One thing I would LOVE is a whole hour of tips and tricks – including how to set up a sampler for the first time, how to put in the threads to help you find your place as you work…everything a complete newbie like me would LOVE to learn! I’m finally starting to do counted work and really like to know more.

  2. Hi Vonna and Gary,
Thank you so much for adding the Quarantine Stitch Hours to your regular show line-up. I really enjoy them, and have even listened in the middle of the night when I wake up and am too anxious to sleep. Just hearing your voices talking and laughing about something as normal as needlework is calming and really helps during these stressful times. Just wanted you to know what a good thing you are doing for our needlework community!

  3. I have a devil of a time finding a link to the quarantine stitch hours. I see lots of links for the previous event, but not the current. For example, this evening 3/28 (Saturday). I’ve tried searching for Flosstube and the web site and youtube.com. It’s really, really frustrating. Help!!

    1. Sorry you’re having trouble. Part of the problem is the YouTube interface. At the top where is says, click on that. Then just above the video photos is Uploads with an arrow next to it. Click on that and you’ll see Live Streams. That’s where the new live videos show up. I can’t seem to control where they get placed.
If you’re subscribed, make sure you click on the bell option that gives you notification of all events.
You’re not alone in your frustration. Others seem to be having problems. I’m going to see what I can do to simplify things.
      Gary
