Fiber Talk with Emily Tull

And Her Cheeks Were As Pink as Blossoms by Emily Tull.
Woman with a Fish by Emily Tull.

Emily Tull is one of those unique artists who uses embroidery to raise the overall level of her art. Her focus these days is faces and she is in the middle of an ongoing quest to create, with thread and a variety of ground-cloth materials, the best expression of what she sees in her mind. Though a skilled oil painter, she wanted more out of her art and needle and thread provided the look and expression she wanted. It’s always fun to explore the mind of a true artist and the conversation with Emily was a terrific ride. After you enjoy the conversation, be sure to visit her website and Instagram pages to enjoy her creations.–Gary
