Fiber Talk with Vickie LoPiccolo Jennett and Maegan Jennett

Lucy V. Moore sampler, reproduced by Needlework Press.

Needlework Press is a unique, multi-faceted business, created and operated by my guests Vickie LoPiccolo Jennett and Maegan Jennett. This week’s show is sponsored by Sassy Jacks Stitchery. Needlework press, at its core, is a sampler-reproduction operation. But they go much beyond offering samplers to include writing articles, producing books, publishing a popular needlework calendar, creating printed needlework accessories, and teaching. In addition, Vickie and Maegan are active collectors of antique needlework tools and accessories. Driving all of this is a commitment to present and share needlework history. I’m confident you’ll enjoy learning from Vickie and Maegan.–Gary

Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 6-27-18

A Schoolroom Alphabet by Vickie LoPiccolo Jennett and Maegan Jennett

It’s Wednesday, but there is no chatting. Scheduling and life in general prevent us from recording this week, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a show. A few weeks ago, Gary was privileged to visit the home of Vickie LoPiccolo Jennett, meet her daughter Maegan (both of Needlework Press), and record a video tour of some of Vickie’s extensive collection of antique samplers. Instead of listening to us talk, we hope you will enjoy seeing some very old and unique antique samplers. We’ll be back next Wednesday with a new conversation. Sunday’s guest: Jeannine Cheney of Acorns and Threads in Portland, OR.
