Yvette Stanton’s books.

It’s time for another mid-week chat. Our topics for this go-round are Yvette Stanton’s Early-Style Hardanger book, Jane Nicholas’ Complete Book of Stumpwork, stump work in general, Orna Willis, Gary’s stand modification, a story by Mary Corbet, and some tips from Louise’s Needlework that will help you wrestle with Neon Rays. We hope you enjoy the show and will tell others.–Gary and Christine

  1. Gary and Christine,
First of all I love your podcasts and listen regularly. I have a suggestion for you. Lorna Bateman will be coming to the states from the U.K. in December for Annie’s Needlework Festival in Williamsburg VA. Her focus is surface embroidery, ribbon and stump work. She is a delightful teacher and has a growing following here in the US. Here is her website: http://www.lornabatemanembroidery.com/

  2. Also…Jane Nicholas is in the US during the whole month of August teaching in various guild locations for the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. You have to be a member of the guild to take a class but she may be available for a podcast?? If you go to her website and click on her class schedule you can see her teaching schedule during the month of August.

  3. I was thinking the same thing as Susan. I was an idiot and missed the chance to take a class from Jane several years ago. I am still kicking myself. Keep up the podcasts. I love to listen to them.
