Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 10-10-18

The sound is rather rocky in this show (technical problems), but it’s Wednesday and we’re chatting, nonetheless. We had a list of topics this week and got to the Jane Wood and Arlene Cohen items, but then veered off the road and talked at length about the psychology of stitching and then moved on to news feeds. We hope the discussion gives you food for thought or, at the least, is interesting. Sunday’s guest: Linda Eaton, head curator at Winterthur.

  1. The Psychology of needlework: It really helps me to relax as well as feed my creative need. The artistic expression along with soothing the soul seems to meet my need for order, creativity and quiet time. It is great exercise for the brain as well!!! I am sure all of us who stitch do so for many reasons and it feeds us in so many ways!! Great exploration into “why we stitch?”
