Alison Cole is our guest this week. She has been doing needlework almost non-stop since she was a young girl and is considered one of the world’s leading embroidery designers, authors, and teachers. These days she specializes in goldwork and stumpwork designs, continues to travel the world sharing her talents, provides an ongoing schedule of cyber classes, and operates a needlework retail and teaching business with her husband out of their home in Australia. We had a delightful conversation with one of the hobby’s best and are confident you’ll enjoy learning more about Alison Cole.–Gary and Christine

  1. Hi Gary and Christine. Thanks for this fabulous interview. I’m really glad that you’ll be getting Alison back to talk about stumpwork and goldwork – my favourite embroidery styles too. I’m currently busy on 2 of her designs – the beautiful pashmina embroidery and the Gloriosa Lily, even though the double sided embroidery required on the petals is a bit daunting!. Keep up your great work and have a blessed Christmas – hopefully a white one, while we swelter in a South African summer!

    1. Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed the show. Yes, we’re definitely having Alison back for another conversation. Merry Christmas to you, too. Stay cool. Gary
