Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 12-5-18

Debbie Rowley’s Glitz and Glamour Opal design.
It’s two days before Friday and we have some chatting to do. This week we battle through our illnesses to talk about stitching on international flights, 150+ SALs already scheduled for 2019, our spending limiting techniques, and the impact, or not, of plastic on threads. Sunday’s guest: Mary Corbet.

  1. Hope you are feeling better! Gary, great job on not buying any books! Great willpower! My theory on stitch from stash is the moment you CAN’T buy anything, you HAVE to buy it. I tried stitching from stash and failed miserably. Once I took away the restrictions, I stopped buying so much. Just like going on a diet and saying I will never eat sugar again. Doesn’t work for the long run.
As far as someone asking if you would sell a piece, I have had people ask that. It was a Gay Ann Rogers heart-Heart of Elizabeth or Malachite Heart. I was putting on the beads and I think they wanted me to make them one. Ha! I explained the piece cost me $60+ for the kit and hours of time. Just thought I would share.
