Debbie Rowley’s latest class design is Angles. Visit her website at debbeesdesigns.com to sign up for the class. It’s the middle of the week in the middle of the month and Beth and Gary have gathered to help you spend your money. Our enabling efforts include the new Tree of Life embroidery kit from Avlea Folk Embroidery, the new Angles class from Debbie Rowley of Debbee’s Designs, and the new book “The Design Collective: Pincushions,” from the people at “Inspirations,” which you can buy from Mary Corbet (It’s sold out now, but we’re sure she’ll be getting more). We also talk about mixing science and needlework and Beth tries to convince Gary to buy a new light/magnifier before his current one breaks. Enjoy the show but keep your credit cards locked away if you don’t want to spend money. Also, join us tonight for Thread Talk with Cathe Ray of Needle in a Haystack on the Fiber Talk Stitch Hour. We start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on the Fiber Talk YouTube channel.–Beth and Gary
We hope you enjoy this show. We’re always looking for guests, so let me know if there is someone you’d like me to have on the show.

You’re looking at your magnifier light problem the wrong way. You said it’s not going to break any time soon, so you’re having a hard time justifying a new one. The thing is, it is already broken and has been broken for quite some time. So, get that new one and donate this one to charity Someone will be glad to have it, broken or not. 😉
Oh, and take the plunge creating a project from Inspirations. I’ve been collecting the magazines and books for quite awhile. (I love so many things in them) I’ve stitched and finished one project, stitched but not yet fully finished another and have one project still in the stitching phase (on 50ct no less). So much fun!

The passing of Jean Lea will leave a huge void in the needlework world, particularly for those who love, reproduce, and stitch samplers. In addition to being a terrific person, Jean was widely known as the owner of The Attic, one of the few true destination needlework shops. Anyone who spent any time with her […]
The life of a military wife, living in upstate New York, and the pandemic catalyzed Caroline Gilman’s interest in needlepoint. Our conversation with Caroline is sponsored by Avlea Folk Embroidery and the Fiber Talk Needle Arts Weekend. During those hours in New York, Caroline found her home with painted-canvas needlepoint. It wasn’t long before she […]
We’re at the center of the week and Cindy and Gary have fired up the recording gear to talk about a new one-day option for the Fiber Talk retreat (wetalkfiber.com/weekend); request for questions for upcoming shows; Gary keeping up with Beth’s Stitch Every Day challenge; storing slate frames, scroll rods, and stretcher bars; marking stretcher […]
Imagine what your plain Jane sneakers would look like if they had a scene embroidered on the sides. Melissa Galbraith did just that and she wrote a book about it to help you turn your canvas shoes into works of art. Melissa is our guest this week and the show is sponsored by Sassy Jacks […]
Our sponsors are CyberPointers and Sassy Jacks Stitchery and our guest is needlepoint artist Kevin Lustik. “Velvetpark” magazine said it best, “Lustik’s imaginative work evokes a folksy Americana, yet upon closer inspection, you are confronted by piercing social commentary. Few artists can pull off hot button issues of the day such as climate change and […]

Haha!! I like your thinking.
