Fiber Talk with Abigail Timmis

Abigail Timmis at work.

This week’s guest is Abigail Timmis. Abby is a hand embroiderer, needlepoint canvas designer, needlepointer, embroidery instructor, and lover of all things handmade. She has studied at the Royal School of Needlework where, will designing needlework, she realized she needed and wanted more formal training and decided to pursue a degree in illustration. She now creates and offers needlepoint and embroidery designs through her Abigail Cecile website. Abby tells us that, “While embroidery is finally gaining popularity, needlepoint is still fairly obscure with millennials. It’s my goal to not only create beautiful and attractive designs (while still being rooted in the gorgeous history of needlework) but also to educate crafters and needlepointers alike.”
We hope you enjoy our conversation with the very talented Abigail Timmis.–Christine and Gary
