Fiber Talk with Vonna Pfeiffer, The Twisted Stitcher

Snowy Skater, stitched and finished by Vonna Pfeiffer.

It’s always fun and educational to talk with Vonna Pfeiffer and we’re really glad to have her join us again. The framework for this week’s discussion is things Vonna has learned in her many years/hours of stitching. We didn’t talk about all of the items on her list but our conversation filled an hour with several tips and tricks that will help you with your stitching. We are confident you’ll enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed recording it.–Christine and Gary

Fiber Talk Encore: The Twisted Stitcher X2

It’s holiday break time for us and we have a treat for you. Instead of the promised encore presentation of a previous show, we’re doubling up and sharing two full hours of the Twisted Stitcher, Vonna Pfeiffer. Vonna was our second Fiber Talk guest and joined us again for more stitching talk not too long ago. We’ve combined both of those shows into a mini-marathon. Break out your needle and thread and favorite listening device, tell everyone in the house to go find something else to do, and settle in for two hours of stitching and listening to us talk stitching with the Twisted Stitcher.–Christine and Gary

Fiber Talk with Monica Pratt

Some of the display projects at Welcome Stitchery.

Monica Pratt is our guest this week. She is owner of Welcome Stitchery, a needlework store located in Crystal Lake, IL, northwest of Chicago. Monica and her staff recently celebrated 29 years in business, putting them among the oldest local needlework stores in the hobby. Starting out primarily as a cross-stitch shop, Monica has built Welcome Stitchery into a complete needlework operation that offers a large array of charts and canvases, more threads than they have room to display, a very large selection of ground cloths/canvases, a regular schedule of classes, and a very-busy custom-framing department. We hope you enjoy hearing about Gary’s favorite shop and how they’ve succeeded for almost three decades.–Christine and Gary

Listen to the podcast:

If you don’t see the threads you want, ask. They’re probably in the store.

You can follow Monica and Welcome Stitchery through their various online channels:
