“Embroidery: The Thread of History” is a new exhibition at the Winterthur Museum. It runs now through Jan. 6, 2019. Linda Eaton, Winterthur’s John L. & Marjorie P. McGraw Director of Collections & Senior Curator of Textiles, joins us this week to talk about Winterthur, the exhibition theme, what goes into putting an exhibition together, and to share some stories behind the various pieces that are being shown. One of the many highlights of the exhibition is a casket and toy designed and stitched by Janet Brandt, Indianapolis, telling story of Little Red Riding Hood after she married the woodcutter.
