Wednesday has arrived on schedule and we have needlework stuff to talk about. On this week’s list is Lorna Bateman, Royal School of Needlework U.S. summer school, Margaret Papanicolaou’s sampler, Painted Pony Designs, supporting LNSs, and general stitching tips. We hope you enjoy the show and will tell others about Fiber Talk.–Gary and Christine
This week’s guest is Abigail Timmis. Abby is a hand embroiderer, needlepoint canvas designer, needlepointer, embroidery instructor, and lover of all things handmade. She has studied at the Royal School of Needlework where, will designing needlework, she realized she needed and wanted more formal training and decided to pursue a degree in illustration. She now creates and offers needlepoint and embroidery designs through her Abigail Cecile website. Abby tells us that, “While embroidery is finally gaining popularity, needlepoint is still fairly obscure with millennials. It’s my goal to not only create beautiful and attractive designs (while still being rooted in the gorgeous history of needlework) but also to educate crafters and needlepointers alike.” We hope you enjoy our conversation with the very talented Abigail Timmis.–Christine and Gary

During the show, Abby offered two recommendations:
This week we have the pleasure of a wonderful conversation with needlepoint designer, author, business owner, and teacher, Sandra Arthur. She is active in ANG, EGA, NAN, NETA and TNNA; a past member of American Needlepoint Guild’s Board of Directors as the Director of Seminars; and is a Senior Master Teacher certified through the ANG Master Teacher Program. She also just received a diploma from the Royal School of Needlework, recognizing her stumpwork expertise. In our conversation we covered a wide range of needlework topics and Sandy sprinkled in some tips as we went along. We hope you enjoy our conversation with one of the more influential personalities in the needlework hobby.–Christine and Gary
