  1. Love all the comments on Reproduction Samplers of which I am mostly dedicated to. The “strip” sampler that Christine was referring to are called Band Samplers, and if you ever get to see ones created by Joanne Harvey of the Examplery those are tremendous!!! She charted the Lora Standish sampler which is all bands and a very large sampler originally done in the 1700’s.
I use a size 24 needle and find it never distorts the fabric. I think you have to find what fits your hand and you feel comfortable with.

  2. Two days ago, on Facebook, I saw a post with a link to the video you (Gary) did at The Attic. You also mention that in this Podcast. But since then, search as I might (on Facebook under The Attic, under Fiber Talk, under Gary Parr) on this page, on Floss Tube, scrolling through all my Facebook posts, I just can’t find the video again. I want to watch it to see all the beautiful samplers you captured on the wall of The Attic as that is a place I’ve yet to manage to get to!!!! Please, please, please, send me the link or tell me where I can find that video!!!

    Thank you.

    1. Never mind. While I was scrolling the side bar on the left to try and find the link – I neglected to look at the links under the Podcast “play” button. So, so, so sorry!

      1. Not a problem. I sent you email with the link and will put it here so you can always find it: https://youtu.be/F_ozdKAvM4k
        ?
        Thanks for listening,
        Gary

  3. Gary,
It was fun to meet you at the Attic on your Thursday night visit!
(Did you see we made the newsletter?)

I hope you do come back and make other videos. I’m sure many stitchers would enjoy seeing even more of what’s on the walls and in the displays. It can be overwhelming, there’s so much good stuff!

Thanks for the Podbean recommendation. Much easier for me to listen to Fiber Talk and my other favorite podcasts.

    1. Sorry for the approval delay.
Really glad Podbean solved your problem. While the Apple podcast app is still the one I use because I’ve used it for a long time, Podbean does seem to be a better setup.
I’ll definitely be back to the Attic. I have a couple of ideas for additional videos.
      Gary
