Fiber Talk with Michael Cook

Blue silks produced by Michael Cook.

Wormspit is one of the great business names in the hobby and our guest, Michael Cook, is a fascinating talent. Michael raises silkworms from eggs, collects the silk filaments, twists them into thread, and dyes the thread. He doesn’t stop there. He also weaves and stitches while holding down a full-time job. We didn’t ask when he sleeps but we did have a great time learning about his silkworms and the beautiful, shiny silk they produce. After you listen to the podcast, be sure to check out the videos in the show notes and visit Michael’s website to learn more about how the silk threads we enjoy are produced.–Beth and Gary
