Fiber Talk with Krista West

Krista is a multi-faceted, multi-talented needle artist who specializes in Greek Orthodox vestments and altar adornments. She has created custom work for clergy and churches all over the world and makes annual trips to Greece to further her education and seek out new materials and techniques. Her second business is Avlea Mediterranean Folk Embroidery. At Avlea, she creates a wide variety of designs using the colors and patterns that are part of the long, colorful history of the Mediterranean region.
