Fiber Talk with Margaret Lee

Chinese and Japanese embroidery are two of the finest forms of needlework art and my guest this week, Margaret Lee, is one of the more talented practitioners of both embroidery forms. Margaret shares a wide range of insights into the history and techniques that result in art pieces that never fail to captivate viewers. In addition to the podcast, be sure to view the slide show of some of Margaret’s work below. Click on the images to see a larger image and a description.–Gary

Still Life with a basket of Glasses, by Margaret Lee, is based on a 1644 painting by Sebastian Stosskopf. Stitched using traditional and random stitch embroidery technique with random stitch embroidery being the main technique for the most part.
