Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 11-17-21

One of Beth’s WIPs.

The calendar says it’s Wednesday, so we chatted. We talked a lot about WIPs, cooked up an old-school sampler project (feel free to join us), discussed the benefits of Gary volunteering at a needlepoint shop, and considered the benefits of practicing needlepainting and other techniques to develop skills without the commitment of a project. Join us tonight for Stitch Hour. Cathe Ray of Needle in a Haystack will join us for another episode of Thread Talk. Tonight’s subject will be selecting the right silk threads for your linen thread count. We start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on the Fiber Talk YouTube channel. Sunday’s guest: Kathy Andrews.–Beth and Gary

Chatting day has arrived and Gary and Cindy gathered to talk about Gary’s LNS experiences as he assembles material for the Gay Ann Rogers Lady Mary Geometric project, extend thanks to Donna LaBranch of Waste Knot Needlepoint and the folks at Sign of the Arrow needlepoint shop, keeping basic materials on hand, what we listen to/watch while stitching, stopping work on projects that no longer interest us, and blackwork. Join us tonight for the Fiber Talk Stitch Hour. We’ll be stitching and chatting and an audience-participation game. Join us on the Fiber Talk YouTube channel at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
