Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 11-17-21

One of Beth’s WIPs.

The calendar says it’s Wednesday, so we chatted. We talked a lot about WIPs, cooked up an old-school sampler project (feel free to join us), discussed the benefits of Gary volunteering at a needlepoint shop, and considered the benefits of practicing needlepainting and other techniques to develop skills without the commitment of a project. Join us tonight for Stitch Hour. Cathe Ray of Needle in a Haystack will join us for another episode of Thread Talk. Tonight’s subject will be selecting the right silk threads for your linen thread count. We start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on the Fiber Talk YouTube channel. Sunday’s guest: Kathy Andrews.–Beth and Gary

  1. I’d love to hear an explanation of “wip go” from the very beginning. I’ve heard bits and pieces from Jennifer but find it very confusing. Hope you will consider a full description before the new year.
I enjoy all of your programs and have learned many things. I like the times you just stitch and talk for an hour also. I found you at the beginning of the pandemic when you did the many extra shows where we all stitched together. Only one of my four stitching groups has been able to resume. The others lost their meeting locations.
Have you been in contact with April? Any word on the Australian shut down or when the gallery shows might start again?
Thank you for all you do, Gary. I really appreciate it.
