  1. Gary and Christine-
Look into the Just a thought floor stand. http://www.justathought.net/bl/?cat=14

It is very similar to the NeedleNeeds stand and I’ve been using mine for over a year. I added small wheels to the bottom of mine, so it’s super easy to move around. Hope this helps.

    1. Patti,
When I was looking for a floor stand, I seriously considered the Just a Thought stand. I already owned/own a K’s Creation but wanted something to hold scroll frames. But then I figured out how to modify my old conventional wood stand and that’s worked well so far. Glad to hear you like your Just a Thought stand because they look to be very well designed/made. Thanks for listening to Fiber Talk.

  2. Howdy, Gary and Christine! Enjoyed the podcast today. Gary, what kind of floor stand do you use? Would love for you to post a pic of your set up on your next midweek show. Thanks! A joy to listen as always.

  3. For Christine: I had that sore, hot right elbow thing happening too. A friend’s physical therapist told her that holding her elbow close to her body while she stitched should help. It did for me.
Another thing that helped was having my dog cuddled up touching my right elbow while I stitched. His body heat helped me. Nicer than a heating pad.

For Gary: If you are still having trouble with the thread falling out of the needle, try using a smaller needle; i.e. go from size 22 to 24 tapestry needle.

    1. Thanks. I’m already using a 26 needle. It’s frustrating. I’m just learning to hang onto the thread more consistently.
      Gary

  4. What we need is a “collapsable” table that works with the shelving units at Michaels!!! It would be so nice to be able to lay things out to really see the colors that you want to use.
