Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 1-30-19

Standups finished by The Twisted Stitcher.
We all know what day it is and that means Gary and Vonna are chatting about the upcoming Dayton, Ohio EGA Chapter 2019 symposium, Bat Cave activities, measuring with body parts, thread management, pin stitches, StitchyPop needles from The Cottage Needle, Cross-Eyed Cricket nativity figures, Jacob and Modern Folk Embroidery, and a whole bunch of other items that popped up in the conversation. It’s always fun to talk with Vonna and this week is no exception. In fact, it may be the most fun yet. Sunday’s guests: Wendy Schmid and April McNee from the Embroiderer’s Guild NSW, Australia

  1. Need to communicate this to you both somewhere: another convenient body measurement is the width of your pinky is about 1 centimeter 🙂

  2. Ha! Just tested it. Excellent. That’s a good one to know. Thanks.

  3. Gary, always a great show with you and Vonna. This one was filled with laughter, too–excellent. Wanted to say thanks for your tip about reversing the “direction” of one strand (when using two). I’ve tried it and, oh my gosh, it’s a charm! No twisting! I’m going to mention it (with credit to you) in my next Flosstube.

    1. Glad it worked for you, too. Happy to help and thanks for listening.
      Gary
