It’s the middle of the week once again and we’re talking about being Stabby, setting up stitching in St. Louis, Fiber Talk at Sassy Jacks in August, the RSN Book of Embroidery, Victoria Becker’s Gay Ann Rogers Queen Elizabeth I project, and bullet boxes for storing Kreinik spools. Sunday’s guest: Trisha Rothoff, Three Owl Threads.
Talented needlework designer Gay Ann Rogers is our guest this week. Known throughout the hobby for consistently delivering outstanding designs such as Eleanor of Aquitaine, Catherine the Great, the Downton Abbey geometric series, a number of striking original samplers, and the sophisticated Echoes I and II, Rogers has had a storied career in the needlework hobby. As you would expect, talking with her is as engaging as stitching her designs and we had a terrific and wide-ranging conversation. We hope you enjoy our conversation with Gay Ann Rogers and encourage you to watch for her upcoming “The Last Queen” design.–Gary and Christine

It’s the middle of the week and we decided we wanted to get together and talk about needlework. It’s an hour of us yakking at each other about Coni Rich, our Tess and Thorn conversation, Nicola Parkman and reproduction samplers, Gary’s stocking project and cross stitching, Christine’s early needlepoint experiences, Mary Corbet and linen quality, Gay Ann Roger’s new design, Shepherd’s Bush stockings, and Arlene Cohen’s Flosstube videos. We hope you enjoy our ramblings.–Gary and Christine

It’s Midweek Chat week and Beth and Gary connected through our respective internet providers to talk about eyeglasses and what we learned from Kelly Lea Teske, supporting Ukraine designer Ekaterina at stitchyprincess.etsy.com, selecting projects vs. being influenced by stitching friends, projects we have that need to be at the top of the pile, stitching in […]
It’s hard to stitch if you can’t see well and, for most of us, seeing well requires a good pair of glasses. This week, in a show sponsored by CyberPointers, Kelly Lea Teske returns to help us better understand how to make the most of our next visit to the eye doctor and the optician. […]
