  1. I think Catherine Jordan would be a fabulous person to interview on your show. She is huge in the EGA, has won many awards, is a fabulous teacher, and dyes her own linens and threads.

    1. Tara,
Thanks for listening. I’ll put Catherine on the list.

  2. Christine –
Check out http://www.artisandesign.com/index.html. I have used the Ergo floor stand with my recliner for many years. They also have a lap stand that works well. Quality is probably not on a par with the Millennium products, but it is excellent.

  3. I love the podcast! – Gary I was waiting for you to receive your Millenium Frame. I bought my first one with the stand when I lived in the UK about 20 years ago – they are still going strong and I love to use them!
Thinking about stumpwork – Christine, I’m a bit of a beginner too – I have Alison Cole’s book – ‘The Stumpwork Masterclass’ – and also her ‘Embroiderer’s Little Book of Hints and Tips’ – she is a wonderful stitcher and teacher – – and it would be great if you could both get to interview her for your Podcast. She is Australian – so you’d really have to co-ordinate your times!
Also, try ‘A-Z of Stumpwork’ – wonderful resource – and Sachiko Morimoto’s ‘Stumpwork Flowers’ which I think is a beautiful beginning stumpwork book.

    1. Wendy, thanks for listening and we’re glad you like the shows. I’ll put Alison Cole on the list and have already passed your book suggestions on to Christine. My guess is she’s already ordered them. 😉
      We appreciate the feedback.

  4. Hi,
I just got a Quantum frame, found a stand on Etsy that would work for the frames. My husband made 2 arms to go on my old frame, they work fine until I can get a stand. When you put your linen on the frame, if it is short you can baste a piece of scrap fabric to the top & bottom to give you more length. Took awhile to figure out how to get the area you want to stitch in the right position, just move the bottom linen up or down. I love my frame! So happy you got one, I enjoy your show a lot!

    1. Thanks for listening and we’re glad you enjoy the shows. I got my wood stand modified last night to hold scroll frames. Have to do some sanding, but early tests indicate it will be perfect. Good tip about extending linen.
      Gary

  5. I was pleased to see a finished version of the blue beaded box kit that I designed and sold to Beth Elliott for her son to stitch many years ago. Her young son was an outstanding beader! I’m so glad he overcame the dreaded disease.
