Fiber Talk with Krista Gramer, Post II

Krista Gramer with Miss Lucy Calcutt 1825.

The original post for this podcast did not feed properly to podcast apps. This second post is to correct that problem.

This week we talk about reproduction samplers with Krista Gramer from Just Stitching Along. We had the conversation shortly after Krista returned from her first Nashville Market where she introduced her first to reproductions: Miss Lucy Calcutt 1825 and Gertrude’s Garden. In the show we learn about Krista’s experiences charting here first reproductions along with a variety of other needlework topics. This week, listeners also have an opportunity to win a copy of Miss Lucy Calcutt 1825. To learn how, listen to the show and respond by midnight Eastern time, March 18.–Gary and Christine

  1. Miss Lucy Calcutt stitched two samplers two years in a row.
Would love to stitch her chart.

Thanks for another great podcast! I enjoy listening to each and every episode.

  2. Same as above, Lucy Calcutta. Beautiful samplers!

  3. Miss Lucy Calcutt 1825 was stitched at age 8 and the following year she stitched her second sampler. Remarkable work done by such a young child.

Enjoy listening to you and Christine and have listened to a few of your shows more than once.

  4. Lucy Calcutt stitched samplers in two consecutive years.

  5. Lucy Calcutt created two samplers back to back a year apart.

  6. Lucy Calcutt stitched two samplers, one when she was eight and one when she was nine. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. On another note, oh Christine how exciting you got married, congratulations, and how devastating that you weren’t able to go to Nashville! Gary, however, you did an awesome job interviewing and uploading videos, bravo! Been listening to your podcasts on Fiber Talk from the very beginning, and while I am shamelessly a cross addict and enjoy the shows about cross stitch the most, each and every show and midweek chat has been great.

  7. Luck Calcutta was quite a young lady to stitch 2 samplers in consecutive years!

    1. This might be my second reply because I didn’t for sure if the first went through. Lucy Calcutta was the little girl who stitched two samplers in a row. I would like to someday see the second one. Thanks to Krista for bringing this sampler back to life and share with everyone and to you and Christine for the podcasts.
