Fiber Talk Midweek Chat, 4-25-18

Sarah Braizear 1829 by Hands Across the Sea Samplers.

We’ve made it to another Wednesday and another Midweek Chat. This week we talk about the Sarah Braizear 1829 Stitch Along we’re doing with Sassy Jacks Stitchery, explain how to win a Hands-Across-The-Sea sampler, and visit the Chilly Hollow website to acquire some tips about embellishing painted canvases. Note, this show was recorded before we set up the SAL Facebook Page. You can find the page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SarahBraizear1829SAL/–Gary and Christine

This week’s sponsor is Sassy Jacks Stitchery, your source for the Sarah Braizear 1829 sampler chart and kit.

  1. Pride and Prejudice the Keira Knightley version.
Could you ask Nicola from Hats what the little girls would have stitched with? In hand? On a hoop? Or depending on how wealthy they were?
I love listening to the show and hearing about samplers and trade magazines. (I am translator of technical texts from German, so cars and diggers are my thing!) Thank you both.

    1. A!!! (very tired) translator. It’s gone eleven. 🙂 Night night.

    2. Thanks for listening. Glad you enjoy the shows. Nicola answer coming up.

  2. Hi Gary & Christine. Love your podcasts! You mentioned in this one that we could enter the HATS chart give away by sending you an email. I’ve looked where ever I could but cannot find your email address. Please provide! Thank you.

  3. Gary, I first heard of the Sarah Braizear 1829 project when I was commuting to work when the podcast was first aired. I was so excited to begin the project! . I finally finished yesterday, and she is lovely . I retired about a year and a half ago and this has aided in more stitching time. Thank you so much for highlighting Nicola and her beautiful work.

    1. So glad you were able to finish Sarah. It’s one of my favorite samplers. I’m looking forward to retirement years so I can finish a decent pile of projects. 😉 Thanks for being part of the Fiber Talk audience.
      Gary
