Seven days have passed since we last did this Midweek Chat thing and time has given us more to talk about. This week Beth and Gary begin exploring painted-canvas needlepoint projects, talk about Gary’s studio progress, and talk about using historical art and designs in today’s needle arts. Are we being honoring those in the past? Being respectful? Keeping old things alive so history isn’t forgotten. No clear answer but a topic worth discussing. Sunday’s guest: Ekta Kaul–Beth and Gary

Happy to hear you have Jane supporting your painted canvas adventures. She’s terrific.
I work in a needlepoint shop and my stitching philosophy about painted canvas matches Gary’s. The most fun I can have is figuring it out for myself, like a puzzle. Doesn’t mean I don’t consult others often. And stitch guides or embellishment classes are great ways to learn new stitches and techniques. Have fun!
Ekta Kaul is fabulous!
You asked about guests – Kate Cross, Angela Daymond, and Helen Richman would be fabulous.

Yes, really enjoyed talking with Ekta.
Thanks for the suggestions and for being part of the Fiber Talk audience.
Suggestion for an interview:
Consider interviewing Cindy Baldwin, president of CyberPointers the on-line chapter of ANG. I believe there are over 400 members worldwide.
I was surprised to learn that the EGA has an online chapter through your interview of the chapter president. I’ve been an EGA member for about 4 years and never knew they have an online chapter.
I’m a longtime member of ANG (20 yrs) and CyberPointers (9yrs).
Thanks. I’ll contact her.
