Mabel Tuke 1779 sampler from Sassafras Samplers.
It’s the crest of the week and Jenifer and Gary have gathered to discuss our upcoming Stitch Hour sampler series, what we can learn from judges and their approach to needlework, classes we would take at the 2022 EGA National Seminar, temari techniques, charting words for samplers, and keeping our stitching areas organized. Join us tonight for the Fiber Talk Stitch Hour when we’ll kick off our reproduction sampler series with guest Kim Young of Sassafras Samplers and Sassy Jacks Stitchery. We start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on the Fiber Talk YouTube channel.–Jenifer and Gary

  1. Jenifer, what is the K(C)atherine sampler that you’re working on? I can’t go to Seminar but am interested in a sampler with specialty stitches like the Theron one. Thank you.

    1. Janice,
The sampler we were talking about is Catherine Theron’s “Flowers & Berries Band Sampler.” I doubt you can buy it anywhere or take a class as I’m sure it’s exclusive to the EGA 2022 National Seminar. If you want to explore further, check out Catherine’s website: therontraditions.com.

      1. Thanks, Gary–I may have gotten the name wrong. I really like Catherine Theron’s sampler offered at Seminar but won’t be going to New York. Jenifer said she was working on another sampler that was very similar to Catherine’s and that’s the one I was wondering about. Maybe it’s also one of Catherine’s patterns?

Really enjoy listening to your program during my evening stitching here in Independence, MO, by the way.
